Whisky Craft Aberfeldy 20 Year Old is a refined Highland single malt that perfectly embodies the distillery’s signature honeyed charm. Bottled at cask strength (52.9%) from a refill quarter cask, this small release of just 77 bottles offers an exceptionally rich yet graceful take on a classic Aberfeldy style.
Known as the “Golden Dram,” Aberfeldy is celebrated for its smooth, rounded spirit - rich in honey, toffee, and soft fruit notes. The use of a quarter cask, roughly a quarter the size of a standard barrel, intensifies the interaction between spirit and oak, concentrating flavour and texture while maintaining the distillery’s trademark elegance.
On the nose, there’s a deep, mellow sweetness with brown sugar, molasses, and warm honey notes rising gently from the glass. The palate is smooth and inviting, with layers of syrupy sweetness, soft spice, and a velvety texture that glides effortlessly. The finish lingers with a satisfying warmth; a soft, golden glow that leaves behind a lingering impression of syrup, oak, and gentle sweetness.
