This Dalmunach 10 Year Old from Lady of the Glen, founded by Gregor Hannah, is a bold and richly sherried Speyside single malt that highlights the potential of one of Scotland’s newest distilleries.

Distilled on 17 February 2016 and bottled on 18 February 2026, this whisky offers a rare early glimpse into Dalmunach’s developing character. Built on the site of the former Imperial distillery, Dalmunach is designed for modern precision, producing a clean, fruit-forward spirit that responds particularly well to active cask maturation.

The whisky began its life with one year in a bourbon barrel, before being re-racked into a first fill Oloroso sherry cask (cask 9) for the remainder of its maturation. This extended time in fresh Oloroso wood, over nine years, has had a profound influence, layering in deep dried fruit, sweetness, and spice while still allowing the spirit’s natural clarity to show through.

The result is a whisky that feels both youthful and remarkably intense. On the nose and palate, expect raisins and dates, supported by honeyed cereal notes and red apple skins, creating a balance between rich sherry influence and fresh fruit brightness. The Oloroso cask brings depth and structure, while the underlying Dalmunach spirit keeps the profile lifted and vibrant.

Bottled at a commanding cask strength of 63.6% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration, this is a whisky that delivers power and concentration in equal measure. With an outturn of 226 bottles, it remains a limited and compelling release, particularly for those interested in exploring the early years of Dalmunach’s spirit.

How much is shipping?

Shipping charges are calculated during checkout, depending on where you live and how many bottles you’re buying. It's usually more cost effective to ship two or more bottles, particularly for international orders. The perfect excuse to treat yourself to an extra bottle!

What about taxes?

All alcoholic products sold by TopWhiskies are sold subject to UK alcohol tax, which is already included in the price.

UK sales are subject to VAT (currently 20%), which is included in the price. Sales outside of the UK are not subject to this tax, and international prices do not include it.

We use a specialist US shipper who sorts out US taxes. These costs are factored into the US shipping charges. So shipping may look pricey, but remember it covers your taxes as well, so there'll be no further bills to pay. US Customs takes two to three weeks to complete, after which your parcel will arrive at your door as if it were a normal delivery.

For all other territories, including those in Europe, please note: your order could be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in the destination country. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, TopWhiskies has no control over these charges, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay any import duties and taxes, this could result in the goods being destroyed by customs or being returned back to us - any refund offered would include a deduction of our costs.

Which couriers do you use?

In the UK we use Royal Mail, Parcelforce and APC. US orders are sent via UPS. International orders use FedEx and DHL. Orders are despatched from our UK warehouse Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays.

Carbon neutral?

Yes, all our deliveries are carbon neutral. We work with Planet to estimate the carbon impact of each delivery, and then purchase carbon removal credits to offset the emissions.

Meet The Founder

Gregor Hannah

Lady Of The Glen was founded by, and is still run by, Gregor Hannah. From a young age, Gregor developed a keen interest in whisky, influenced by his father, a Scottish piper. His father would often receive bottles of whisky as tokens of appreciation for his performances at various celebrations, including weddings and Burn's Nights. Fascinated by the wide array of bottles, each with its own unique colours, shape, and label, Gregor developed a strong appreciation for scotch whisky.

Two and a half decades later, while working at a bar, Gregor's learned about independent bottling. Here, he gained in-depth knowledge about the history and techniques of sourcing and bottling unique whiskies. This led him to establish Lady of The Glen in 2012. The brand is independently owned and specialises in sourcing and bottling rare, single-cask whiskies from various regions in Scotland.
