This 14-year-old Craigellachie from Càrn Mòr is part of the Strictly Limited range, bottled by Morrison's Distillers, a series known for letting distinctive distillery character take centre stage.
Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026, this Speyside single malt has been matured in Fino sherry casks, a relatively uncommon choice that brings a drier, more delicate sherry influence compared to the richer PX or Oloroso styles more often seen. Fino casks tend to emphasise freshness, nuttiness, and subtle salinity, an excellent match for Craigellachie’s famously robust, weighty spirit.
Craigellachie is celebrated for producing a muscular, characterful malt, often described as meaty or sulphury in its traditional form. Here, the Fino sherry maturation refines that core profile rather than masking it, adding elegance and lift while retaining the distillery’s unmistakable backbone.
