Murray McDavid, Independent Whisky Bottlers

Murray McDavid was established by London wine merchants Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Springbank Distillery’s Gordon Wright. They gained a reputation for ageing whisky in interesting casks, like wine casks. In 2000, the team set about reopening the closed Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. They engaged the services of Jim McEwan, Islay’s most celebrated Master Distiller.

Today, Murray McDavid is owned by leading Scotch whisky broker, Aceo. Their is Coleburn Distillery in Speyside. Here they continue the tradition of bottling artfully-matured Scotch whisky.
