About This Murray McDavid Whisky
Founded in 1798, in the heart of the Isle of Mull, Tobermory Distillery remains the only whisky producer on the picturesque Hebridean island. This unpeated Tobermory single malt has been matured in a combination of red wine casks, resulting in a delicious dram that is as vibrant as Mull’s famous colourful Balamory cottages
Twelve years ago, the original Murray McDavid team, then led by Jim McEwan, filled the Tobermory whisky into red wine barriques. In 2014, the casks arrived at Coleburn Distillery Warehouses, the new home of Murray McDavid, where they were closely monitored. Until today, when the efforts of all that hard work can now be enjoyed.
