About this Murray McDavid whisky
In the small town of Alness, north of Inverness, is one of the largest single malt distilleries you may never have heard of. The Teaninich Distillery was built in 1817 and the Murray McDavid team have selected its spicy, oily spirit to further mature in a red Pineau des Charentes cask.
The French fortified wine cask has softened the edges of this youthful highland whisky. After gently maturing in a 350-litre cask for its last 32 months, this unusual combination of spirit and oak has produced an unexpectedly wonderful mouthfeel that lingers and evolves with each and every sip.
