Mannochmore 12 Year Old Tasting Notes

Nose: Old-school sherry profile, wow! It really got the royal treatment. Old oak, shoe polish, lots of cherries and whipped cream.

Palate: A soft, gentle profile which carries notes of vanilla, brown sugar and prunes, creating a treacly sweetness.

Finish: Red fruits crowned with a hint of orange to add complexity to its eloquent finale.

About this WhiskyDudes release

Old sherry casks are hard to come by (and rarely used nowadays anyway, due to cost). This is especially true when dealing with an eighties (1981) PX barrique. Such as cask will surely have a big, bold influence on the whisky within! This Mannochmore spent over two years in this unique cask, and it shows. This whisky is a masterpiece of balance and sophistication. Worthy to outshine even the best of whiskies. Indulge slowly, this is something you don’t come across often.
