Official tasting notes

The Cask Strength has an earthy palate with ginger and cinnamon spice, this unadulterated whisky is bottled at cask strength to reveal a full-bodied aroma.

Ed's tasting notes

Nose: Red fruits, russet apples, and soft berries. An older, dusty sherry note, together with vanilla. Wood spice and oak.

Palate: Full mouthfeel, with a velvet nature that coats the mouth. More red fruits and russet apples. An oak characteristic, and perhaps some earthiness from the sherry. Warming, with pepper and red chilli flakes.

Finish: A medium to long finish with red fruit and spice.

The Scottish city of Perth was historically the home of many a whisky company. It was the blending capital of the world where many great blended malts were created however as many moved away, Perth became the forgotten whisky city. You can read more about the history of Old Perth here.

Old Perth brings together the finest of sherry matured malt whisky from a selection of distilleries in the Glenlivet Region of Speyside and expertly blends them in the city of Perth, Scotland.

Where can you ship?

We're based in the UK, but we can ship to many countries.

We deliver to Australia, Canada (Alberta), China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Jersey, Luxembourg, Macao, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, UK, US (certain states*), and Vietnam.

How much is shipping?

Shipping charges are calculated during checkout, depending on where you live and how many bottles you’re buying. It's usually more cost effective to ship two or more bottles, particularly for international orders. The perfect excuse to treat yourself to an extra bottle!

What about taxes?

All alcoholic products sold by TopWhiskies are sold subject to UK alcohol tax, which is already included in the price.

UK sales are subject to VAT (currently 20%), which is included in the price. Sales outside of the UK are not subject to this tax, and international prices do not include it.

We use a specialist US shipper who sorts out US taxes. These costs are factored into the US shipping charges. So shipping may look pricey, but remember it covers your taxes as well, so there'll be no further bills to pay.

For all other territories, including those in Europe, please note: your order could be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in the destination country. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, TopWhiskies has no control over these charges, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay any import duties and taxes, this could result in the goods being destroyed by customs or being returned back to us - any refund offered would include a deduction of our costs.

Which couriers do you use?

In the UK we use Royal Mail, Parcelforce and APC. US orders are sent via UPS. International orders use FedEx and DHL. Orders are despatched from our UK warehouse Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays.

Carbon neutral?

Yes, all our deliveries are carbon neutral. We work with Planet to estimate the carbon impact of each delivery, and then purchase carbon removal credits to offset the emissions.
