Whitlaw 7 Year Old Tasting Notes
Nose: There's a lovely balance of sweet yet savoury. Imagine a rich bar of dark chocolate topped with sea salt and dried fruit.
Palate: This one starts with a bang - a full-on hit of zesty fruit and dark spices.
Finish: Gradually softens to combine velvety dark fruit with a coastal tang.
About this Fib Whisky
Distilled at Highland Park, this single cask Whitlaw features the Ring of Brodgar on the label designed by Orla Stevens. The Orkney Islands truly are a window into our communal past, with some mind-blowing ancient landmarks. Although relatively young, this island whisky packs a real punch, but also a depth well beyond its years.
The original sherry dram is bold, and not for the faint hearted. And for this release's sister cask, the wonderful unsulphured Mourvèdre barrique from Fib's friends at Coume Del Mas Winery has given the Oloroso hogshead a whole new depth of flavour.
